2022 URMA Member Survey

ABOUT THE SURVEY

This year, we focused on 4 main topics:

  1. Better understanding the organization’s demographics, so we can better serve and expand our membership, identify and overcome our biases, and improve our own DEI efforts
  2. The kinds of teams that we are on, our backgrounds, and our salaries (perhaps to assist in future negotiation efforts!?)
  3. The kinds of content we produce and what we do with that content, and
  4. Magazines, especially our digital presence. This is meant to complement the previous survey, which heavily explored print magazines.

Special thanks to Edyta Zielinska, Chelsea Julian, and Joe McClain, who provided very useful feedback during the survey planning process.

Question may be sent to Gail L. McCormick

TIME: 2:00 pm—3:00 pm EST

FORMAT: Zoom (Click here for the link)

We will gather for a special URMA Live! to discuss a timely issue: How are universities and institutions communicating amid a shifting landscape of executive orders with implications for research? Catherine Zandonella, executive director of research and innovation communications at Cornell University, will moderate this session, sharing her own experiences, and Layla Dowdy, director of communications for UNC Research, will also report on how her office has managed this turbulent period. We’ll have lots of time for open discussion and sharing from attendees.
