Vestigo, (ves-TEE-go) the name of our magazine, comes from the Latin vestigare: to discover, search after, seek out, inquire, investigate. It encapsulates the spirit of discovery and dedication to research we strive to embody at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Basic Sciences.
Issue 5 was a special, double-length issue we created to commemorate the university’s sesquicentennial (150th) anniversary. It included a sesquicentennial section focused on our history and past accomplishments and a “normal” section similar to what we’ve included in previous Vestigo issues. This magazine was possible thanks in large part to a V150 grant from Vanderbilt University.
