DESCRIPTION: We’re hiring a Science Writer for the Office of Research at the University of Central Florida. It’d be a chance to join a growing team and write about cutting-edge research related to space, nanotechnology, coastal issues and more. It’s almost always sunny here in Orlando, and we’re about 30 miles from Kennedy Space Center and the beach.

It can be a hybrid position and the salary is $48,722.00 to negotiable.

The Science Writer will be the lead science content creator for UCF’s Office of Research, working closely with leadership and collaborating with scientists across the university. This individual will be responsible for developing and distributing content, including press releases, fact sheets and web and social media content.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
